After redshirting cross country as a sophomore, indoor as a junior and outdoor as a senior, Henry will return to complete her eligibility in 2005-06.
Senior Year:
Earned All-America honors in cross country for the second straight year, finishing seventh • Southeast Regional cross country champion • All-ACC in cross country with a second-place finish • Established a new school record in the indoor 5,000 meters - 16:33.03 • Earned All-ACC honors in the 5,000 with a third-place finish at the ACC Indoor Championships • Became the third-fastest indoor miler in school history - 4:44.00 • Earned All America honors with the Distance Medley Relay team • Redshirted the outdoor season.
Junior Year:
All-America in cross country, finishing seventh overall • Earned All-Southeast Region honors in cross country with a runner-up finish • All-ACC in cross country with a third-place finish • ACC champion in the steeplechase • East Region runner-up in the steeplechase • Redshirted the indoor season.
Sophomore Year:
All-America in the steeplechase with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships • Member of the 6,000-meter relay team that broke the school record at the Penn Relays • East Region runner-up in the steeplechase • Earned All-ACC honors in the steeplechase with a second-place finish • Redshirted the cross country season due to injury.
Freshman Year:
All-America in the 3,000-meter run with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships • All-America in the steeplechase with a third-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, running a school and ACC record time of 9:51.16 • Ran the third-fastest indoor 3,000 time in school history - 9:16.81 • Also became the third-fastest outdoor 3,000 runner in school history - 9:18.33 • Earned All-ACC and All-Southeast Region honors in cross country.
Prep:
Two-time Canadian Junior National cross country champion • Placed 15th at the World Cross Country Championships • Finished ninth at the World Junior Championships in the 5K and seventh in the 3K.
Personal:
Majoring in management and psychology • Hobbies include waterskiing, windsurfing and shopping • Her biggest sports thrill was competing in her first world championship, the World Junior Cross Country Championships, where she finished 15th • Lists her sister as the person who has had the greatest influence on her athletic career • Carol Muriel Henry is the daughter of Bonnie and Mickey Henry • Born June 20, 1982 in Parry Sound, Ontario.
