AS A JUNIOR (2004)
Hit .343 (35-for-102) in 46 games for the Tar Heels • Made 23 starts at designated hitter and in the outfield • Scored 24 runs and drove in 14 • Hit one home run and added one triple and three doubles o Posted a .451 slugging percentage • Batted .372 in ACC play • Had 10 multi-hit games, including a trio of three-hit efforts • Went 3-for-4 with three runs scored against Princeton on March 17 • Was 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored against Florida State on March 26 • Went 3-for-4 versus NC State on May 21 Drove in a season-best three runs and scored three rimes against St. Francis (N.Y.) on March 5 • Tied for fourth on the team with four multi-RBI game • Lifted the Tar Heels to a 5-3 win at Virginia on March 19 with a two-run single in the 11th inning • Member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2003)
Batted .250 (3-for-12) in 12 games • Also scored three runs and had three RBI • Went 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI against Davidson on March 5 • Doubled and scored a run versus Princeton on March 18 • Also made three appearances on the mound • Tossed one scoreless inning against Ball State on March 10. Summer 2003: Played with the Durham Americans of the Coastal Plain League.

Played four years of varsity baseball • Named all-conference and all-state as a senior • Participated in the first-ever North Carolina-South Carolina all-star game in 2001 • Won NABF World Championship in the college division in 2001 • Member of the National Honor Society • Hit .315 with five home runs and 29 RBI in 2002 season at Elon • Was also 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two pitching appearances.
