AS A JUNIOR (2006)
Saw action in 57 games and made 43 starts, mostly at second base • Hit .265 (39-for-147) with a career-best 20 RBI • Added two home runs and nine doubles • Also scored 30 runs • Tallied 11 multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games • Had a season-best four-game hit streak from April 5-9 • Hit .340 with runners in scoring position and .333 with runners on base • Hit two home runs and drove in eight runs in ACC play • Homered against Miami April 7 and Duke April 28 • Had a career-best four hits in the first game of a doubleheader against Seton Hall Feb. 19 • Went 3-for-4 with a season-best four RBI against Davidson April 5 • Also had three hits against Wake Forest March 10 and UNC Greensboro May 16 • Had five hits in the series at Miami April 7-9 • Served as Carolina's Academic Team Captain.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2005)
Played in 35 games and made six starts - five at second base and one at third base • Hit .268 (15-for-56) • Scored five runs and drove in nine runs • Had three doubles • Hit .375 as a pinch hitter and tied for team lead with six pinch hits • Hit .308 with runners in scoring position • Had a season-high two hits against Towson March 22 • Drove in two runs against both Birmingham Southern Feb. 27 and at Florida State May 15 • Lifted the Tar Heels to a 6-5 win over Gardner-Webb with a bases-loaded single in the ninth March 2. Summer 2005: Played for the Atlanta Yankees of the Stan Musial League.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004)
Batted .252 (26-for-143) in 54 games • Made 43 starts, mostly at second base • Scored 21 runs and drove in 17 • Had one homer and six doubles • Led the team with five sacrifice bunts • Hit .326 versus lefties • Batted .385 at the NCAA Columbia Regional • Had two hits against both South Carolina and The Citadel on June 5 • Had seven multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games • Best game at the plate came in the 20-2 win over Duke in the ACC Tournament • Went 3-for-5 against the Blue Devils with two doubles and a career-best five RBI • Hit lone home run of the season against Appalachian State on March 2, his second collegiate game • Went 2-for-3 with an RBI against Florida State on March 27 • Was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs at Wake Forest on April 2 • Member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
