FRESHMAN SEASON (2003-04)
Joined the basketball team at the end of the 2003 football season • Appeared in his first game on Dec. 7 against George Mason • Saw action in 15 games, including six ACC regular-season contests and all three postseason games • Often sent in the game to jumpstart the team defensively • Did that in the first half at Kentucky and against Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament • Scored 11 points on the season with a high of four against George Mason • Had two of his three assists in the win over Maryland.

Talented receiver for the UNC program •His first two career catches went for touchdowns in 2003 • Combines good speed with accurate route-running and excellent hands • One of 12 true freshmen to see playing time in 2003, finishing the season with 12 catches for 168 yards (14.0 per catch) and two touchdowns.
