FRESHMAN SEASON (2003-04)
Joined the basketball team at the end of the 2003 football season Appeared in his first game on Dec. 7 against George Mason Saw action in 15 games, including six ACC regular-season contests and all three postseason games Often sent in the game to jumpstart the team defensively Did that in the first half at Kentucky and against Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament Scored 11 points on the season with a high of four against George Mason Had two of his three assists in the win over Maryland.

Talented receiver for the UNC program His first two career catches went for touchdowns in 2003 Combines good speed with accurate route-running and excellent hands One of 12 true freshmen to see playing time in 2003, finishing the season with 12 catches for 168 yards (14.0 per catch) and two touchdowns.

Averaged nearly 20 points per game for head coach Stan Kokie at Abraham Clark HS in Roselle, N.J. Finished his career as the school's all-time leading scorer A SuperPrep All-America in football at wide receiver, finishing as Abraham Clark's career leader in receptions (106), receiving yards (1,449) and touchdown catches (27) Also played quarterback in five games.
