2005 - Junior season
Had the best season of his career • Played in 11 games and started six at defensive tackle • Finished the season with 22 tackles and three tackles for losses • Injured his leg against Maryland and saw limited time against Duke • Started against Boston College and had two tackles • Started against Miami and had two tackles • Made four tackles, including his first career sack, in the win over Virginia • Had a five-yard sack against the Cavaliers • Started against Louisville and Utah • Posted three tackles in the loss at Louisville • Assisted on two tackles against Utah • Assisted on two tackles, including a tackle for loss, in the win over NC State • Made seven tackles, including a 1-yard tackle for loss, against Wisconsin.
2004 - Sophomore season
Recorded 19 tackles • Made three tackles against Boston College in the Continental Tire Bowl • Played well in the win at Duke and had one tackle • Helped limit the Blue Devils to just 234 offensive yards •Made three stops against Virginia Tech • Assisted on one tackle against Miami • Was praised by the coaching staff for his play against the Hurricanes • Assisted on a tackle at Utah •Assisted on one tackle against NC State •Assisted on four tackles against Florida State • Made one tackle against Georgia Tech • Had one tackle at Virginia in a reserve role • Started and was credited with three tackles at defensive tackle against William & Mary.
2003 - Freshman season
Played in 10 games and started the final three against Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Duke • Also played in the junior varsity game against Hargrave Military Academy • Finished the season with 18 total tackles, including 13 primary and five assists, and had one tackle for loss • Saw his first action of the season in the second game of the year against Syracuse • Had one tackle at NC State • Made two tackles at Clemson • Had stops against East Carolina, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech • Started and made a career-high nine tackles against Duke in the season finale • Made seven primary stops and two assists against the Blue Devils.
