2004 - Junior Season
Played in every game and started the final nine contests • Had 36 tackles, including 18 solo and 18 assists • Tied for third on the team with six tackles for losses of 24 yards • Also had two sacks, a pass breakup and forced a fumble • Posted seven tackles and one tackle for loss against Boston College in the Continental Tire Bowl • Made three tackles in the win over Wake Forest, including two tackles for loss and a four-yard sack • Started against No. 18 Virginia Tech and had six tackles, including a three-yard sack • Started against No. 4 Miami and had four tackles in the 31-28 victory • Two of the tackles against the Hurricanes were for a loss • Made a season-high six stops against NC State • Also broke up a pass and forced a fumble against the Wolfpack • Started against Florida State • Assisted on three tackles against Louisville • Started against Georgia Tech and posted three tackles, including one primary and two assists • Started against William & Mary and had one tackle.

2002 - Freshman Season
Played in all 12 games and started one at outside linebacker • Made his first career start at Wake Forest and responded with a season-high 13 tackles, including 12 solo stops • Was one of two freshmen (Doug Justice was the other) to make at least one start at linebacker • Prior to 2002, no freshman at UNC had started a game at linebacker since 1989 • Finished the season with 35 tackles, including 26 solo stops and nine assists • Had at least one tackle in 11 of 12 games • Made four tackles against Georgia Tech and four stops against Clemson • Had three solo tackles at Syracuse •Redshirted in 2001.
