2007: Played in all 12 games and started four at middle linebacker,
including the last two games of the season against Georgia Tech and Duke •
Played his best game of the season in the 20-14 overtime win over Duke with
a career-high 17 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for losses and one pass
breakup • Had seven tackles and one tackle for loss against the Yellow
Jackets • Had three tackles against NC State • Assisted on one tackle
against Maryland • Recorded his first career interception vs. South Carolina
and added two tackles, including a tackle for loss • Had two tackles in the
win over Miami • Posted three tackles at Virginia Tech in a starting role •
Made his first start of the season at No. 23 USF and had five tackles,
including one tackle for loss • Made four tackles, all solo, and had a
3-yard tackle for loss vs. Virginia • Posted six tackles, including two solo

2006 - Sophomore Season
Played in all 12 games and started against Rutgers • Posted one solo stop
against Duke • Had two solo stops against NC State • Finished second on the
team with six tackles (all primary stops) against Georgia Tech • Also had a
1-yard tackle for loss against the Yellow Jackets • Recorded four tackles,
including three primary stops, against Wake Forest • Had two tackles against
Virginia • Posted one tackle against USF • Had one tackle at Miami • Saw
limited action at Clemson, injuring the same knee he hurt against Furman,
but did have one tackle • Played, but sprained his knee, against Furman •
Played as a backup in the Virginia Tech game, but still saw plenty of action
and made two tackles • Made his first career start against Rutgers and had
three tackles at middle linebacker • Also plays on special teams.
2005 - Freshman Season
Played on special teams and was an outstanding performer on Carolina's
kickoff coverage team • Had seven tackles on the season, including two
against Duke • Also made stops against Wisconsin, Utah, Virginia, Miami and
Maryland.
Charlotte Latin High School
Led Latin to two consecutive independent school state championships • Ranked
the No. 10 fullback in the country by Rivals.com • Ranked the No. 19 player
in North Carolina by The Charlotte Observer • Played both running back and
linebacker • Rushed for more than 1,300 yards and scored 22 touchdowns on
offense as a senior and had 100 tackles on defense • Rushed for 1,397 yards
and 26 touchdowns, averaging nearly nine yards per carry, as a junior • Also
amassed over 100 tackles that season • Coached by Larry McNulty.
