Played one semester at Hargrave Military Academy and helped lead the team to an 8-1 record • Three-year starter on both the defensive and offensive lines at Kempsville • Had 87 tackles, nine sacks and two fumble recoveries as a senior • All-Tidewater first-team selection by the Virginian-Pilot • Earned all-district and all-region first-team honors and second-team all-state honors at defensive tackle • Was first-team all-district at offensive tackle • Ranked the No. 33 senior in Virginia by SuperPrep • Co-MVP at Kempsville • Also wrestled one season as a junior • Coached by Jeff Beard at Kempsville and Robert Prunty at Hargrave.
