2007-08: Notched a 19-8 record as the Tar Heels' starter at 157 pounds • Was 10-3 in dual action and 4-0 versus the ACC • Earned all-conference honors with a runner-up finish at the ACC Championships at 157 • Defeated Matt Rosen of Virginia Tech (7-6) and Drew Dipasquale of Virginia (7-5) at ACCs • Also placed second in the Freshman/Sophomore Division of the Michigan State Open with a 4-2 record • Recorded ACC regular season victories against Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech and NC State. 2006-07: Redshirt season • Posted a 16-2 record wrestling unattached in three events • Went 6-0 to win the 157-pound title at the Pembroke Classic and was 5-0 to win the Edinboro Open • Also took seventh at the Nittany Lion Open with a 5-2 record.
