CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - After seeing its 30-match winning streak against Duke snapped a year ago, the North Carolina wrestling team (3-5, 2-1 ACC) hopes to start a new run against the Blue Devils (5-2, 1-1 ACC) when the two rivals meet Tuesday at Cameron Indoor Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

One point towards the Carlyle Cup, the annual all-sports competition between Carolina and Duke, is up for grabs. The Tar Heels currently hold a 7.5-3.5 lead over the Blue Devils for the 2004-05 academic year.

Last season, the Blue Devils posted a 21-13 win over the Tar Heels on Feb. 3, 2004, at Carmichael Auditorium. The win was the first for Duke in the series since the 1972-73 season.

This year, junior Evan Sola continues to lead the Tar Heels with a 21-3 record at 133 pounds. He is 8-0 in dual matches and 3-0 versus the Atlantic Coast Conference. Sola leads the team with seven pins and is unbeaten in his last nine matches.

Sophomore heavyweight Spencer Nadolsky leads the team with 22 victories and is 22-11 on the season, including a 6-2 mark in dual matches. Nadolsky is also 3-0 against ACC competition.

Sophomore 125-pounder Bobby Shaw 18-12 on the season and is also 3-0 in ACC action, as are junior David Dashiell at 197 and freshman Justin Dobies at 184.

After losses to both NC State and No. 21 Navy over the weekend, Carolina carries a three-match losing streak into Tuesday's action. Four of the Tar Heels' five losses have come to nationally-ranked opponents.

Duke enters the match coming off three wins Saturday over York College, Delaware State and James Madison.
